 ‘Watercolour Landscapes Artist”

Living in Gower with its fast changing light and weather makes watercolour my preferred medium  for painting landscapes . It’s translucency and fluid application is well suited to capturing the elusive changes of colour, light and textures through the seasons. I work out of doors as much as possible so that all my work will have its origin in a pencil  or watercolour sketch done in front of the subject.

If circumstances permit I will complete smaller paintings  on location with larger pieces being completed in the studio from the work I have done en Plein Air. Rain and hot weather can make good watercolour  painting difficult and using oil permits me to paint on days when it would not be otherwise possible. Commissions are welcome , preferably local .
