Southgate Soaps

I have been interested in soap making for many years having learnt about it from my grandfather. All my soaps are made using the traditional ‘cold process method’ which makes them moisturising as glycerine is retained in the bar. As we keep bees it seemed natural to include beeswax in the soaps and if possible it is locally produced. Locally produced honey is also used in some of the soaps. The soaps are suitable for vegetarians as they are made using plant based oils and butters (not palm oil) but are unfortunately not suitable for vegans due to the beeswax, honey and one bar containing goat’s milk. Essential oils are used to provide a variety of fragrances and some of the soaps are fragrance and colour free, hopefully providing something for most tastes. The soaps and the beeswax candles that I also make are made with care and love for your enjoyment.
